Lord Byron Weathermay is the eldest lord and patriarch of the Weathermay family, the ruling house of Mordentshire-by-the-Sea. His wife, Katherine, passed away many years ago, as did his eldest daughter, Estelle. Of his immediate family, only his youngest daughter, Virginia, remains. He lives for her safety and happiness, shamelessly doting her.

He and Virginia dwell at the Weathermay family estate, Heather House, which overlooks Mordentshire. At the time of Storm of Souls, Lord Byron was also entertaining his friends, the Fielders, and the family of his younger brother, Henry, including his nephew, Calvin.

Byron, along with his brother, Henry, were adventurers in their day. As a result of an adventuring wound, Byron is paralyzed from the waist down and must spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.

The Weathermay Family[]

Since the extinction of the Godefroy family, the Weathermays have ruled the town of Mordentshire-by-the-Sea. The following are all relatives of Lord Byron:

Lady Katherine Sutherwaite (deceased). Lord Byron's young wife who died in childbirth.

Estelle Weathermay (deceased). The older daughter of Lord Byron and Katherine Sutherwaite. She committed suicide by leaping out of the tallest window of the house on Gryphon Hill.

Virginia Weathermay. The younger daughter of Lord Byron and Katherine Sutherwaite. Lord Byron is very protective of Virginia, who has just been engaged to be married to the young lord, Hugh Wescote.

Henry Weathermay. Lord Byron's younger brother and a former adventurer. Lord Henry is the father of Calvin Weathermay, who is following in his father's footsteps.

Alice Weathermay. Lady Alice is the wife of Lord Henry Weathermay and the mother of Calvin Weathermay.

Calvin Weathermay. The son of Lord Henry and Lady Alice Weathermay and Lord Byron's nephew. Calvin is an adventurer, and helped Drakos Warbinder, Severa Xorlarrin, and Shade to free the land of Barovia from the vampire lord, Strahd von Zarovich.

Heather House[]

The ancestral home of the Weathermay family is the majestic estate of Heather House, named for the sprawling fields of heather nearby. The following staff attend the estate:

Mistress Ardent. The sophisticated head servant of Heather House has lived at the estate most of her life and is undyingly devoted to Lord Byron and the Weathermay family.

Mrs. Kleinen. The old cook is efficient, minds her business, and helps the serving maid when she can.

Bridget Dumas. The young serving maid is quite and diligent.
